Older Americans Month

Orland Township Celebrates Older Americans Month in a Grand Old Way

May is Older Americans Month, a month dedicated to showing appreciation for the older members of communities throughout the country. Following tradition, Orland Township will once again recognize and honor the contributions and achievements of its own older members.

This year’s Older Americans Month theme is “Never Too Old To Play”, which encourages older Americans to stay involved and active in their own lives and communities. Throughout the month of May, Orland Township will make that goal easier than ever to accomplish with its full lineup of upcoming events, programs, free trials and celebrations.

Under the direction of Supervisor Paul O’Grady and the Board of Trustees, Orland Township has a fun, exciting and healthy event planned for nearly each day in May, and all older Township residents 55 years of age and above are invited to attend. New visitors are especially welcome to take advantage of upcoming free trials in order to learn more about what Orland Township has to offer.

Don’t miss this exciting month at Orland Township. With new events each week, Orland Township encourages all older residents to experience these new opportunities for good times and good health. For more upcoming dates, please check the calendar below or call (708) 403-4222.
